Luciana is a Brazilian artist; she lives and works between Amsterdam and São Paulo. She was born in São Paulo, Brazil.

She graduated as a Master in fine arts at MAHKU in Utrecht (2011) before that graduated in Social Studies with a major in contemporary photography at Faap (Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado) SP, Brazil (2000).

She works as a still photographer for featured films. She has photographed scenes of "Canta Maria, by Franscisco Ramalho Jr." "Caixa 2" by Bruno Barreto, "Falsa Loura" by Carlos Reichenbach, among other films.

She has also studied contemporary photography and art with Eduardo Brandão (Galeria Vermelho),Renata Pedrosa and Rubens Espírito Santo. In 1992, she was a student at the International Center of Photography, in New York.

She published her dummy book at Unseen Photo fair in Amsterdam in 2012 and she had a collective exhibition – Share the Square at Academy Gallery in Utrecht, The Netherlands in 2011, curator by Mika Hannula. During the same year she participated in the collective exhibition "Entorno - diferenças e reciprocidades" at Sesc Bom Retiro, São Paulo, Brazil.

In 2009 with a group of artists organized an independent exhibition "Barão 955" in the center of São Paulo, Brazil.

During 2008 she had her first solo an exhibition at AAMAM (Associação dos Amigos do Museu de Arte Moderna) SP, called "Paisagem", curator by Rubens Espirito Santos. Also received a prize at 12º Salão Paulista de Arte Contemporânea – Casa das Rosas – SP, Brazil, jury by Agnaldo Farias, Fernando Durão, Luis Castañon, Oscar D’Ambrósio and Caciporé Torres.

In 2004, she participated in the "1st Salão Aberto", an exhibit that was held parallel to the XXVI Bienal Internacional SP, Brazil.

She received the Porto Seguro Honorable Mention Award of Photography in 2001.
